myAXXESS – FEIG advances innovative RFID systems with simplified entry and access control

FEIG ELECTRONIC, specialist in Automatic Vehicle Identification is launching an innovative myAXXESS system, a secure, powerful and economical overall solution for RFID entry and access control for buildings and parking areas. Whether a stand-alone system or integrated into an existing RFID control point; with myAXXESS, users can regulate access authorization for their individ-ual projects in a highly convenient, fully automated manner and with just one piece of software.

myAXXESS is based on proven and recognized RFID technology from FEIG. Short-range and long-range readers provide signals for the opening of electronic gates and barriers. For short range access needs, chip cards or key fobs are used as transponders to identify people in close proximity. The cre-dentials are presented a few centimeters in front of the reader and the system reacts to the infor-mation accordingly. For long-range identification, transponders can be located on the windshield of a vehicle, on a rear view mirror, on a headlamp, etc. This allows authorized persons to pass through the access control system conveniently and most importantly, without spending time awaiting access to be granted.

In the case of small and medium-sized projects in particular, the installation of the access and access controls should be as simple and resource-efficient as possible for the customer. With myAXXESS, FEIG has developed a fully compatible system that can be integrated in a very short time and at minimal cost. The readers and transponders also work reliably and can be operated intuitively. For particularly sensitive environments, FEIG offers maximum security and maximum control with chip card technolo-gies such as Mifare DESFire and UCODE DNA from NXP.

myAXXESS adapts to customer requirements

The entire system can be centrally controlled using Feig’s myAXXESS Manager software which ena-bles administration of authorizations, readers and transponders. This makes the entire approach to access control simple, intuitive and efficient. The user administration also allows user groups to be created, added or updated. myAXXESS offers simple solutions for public holidays and other special rules and events which can be stored within the system with individual authorizations.

“RFID reader, transponder and software: With myAXXESS we offer our customers a perfectly coordi-nated overall package to enable them to have smooth and highly reliable access to their properties. In order to meet our high performance demands and quality standards every day, the entire concep-tion, programming and production of FEIG systems takes place exclusively in Germany,” says Manuel Haertlé, Senior Product Manager, FEIG ELECTRONIC.
