Ultra compact 1kg gamer with 16:10 3K display

1 kg light and ultra compact chassis made of magnesium alloy, new Intel Tiger Lake processors, 16:10 aspect ratio and Omnia 3K display with 2880 x 1800 pixels – The TUXEDO InfinityBook Pro 14 has attracted a lot of attention and has quickly become one of the most popular TUXEDO laptops after its launch on 20th of May 2021.

No reason for TUXEDO Computers to rest on it. Instead we announce more than just a "model refresh" of the InfinityBook Pro 14 today:

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti and Tiger Lake H35

The Core i5-1135G7 and Core i7-1165G7 power-saving CPUs have been upgraded to the Intel Core i5-11300H and Core i7-11370H quad core processors. These Tiger Lake H35 CPUs operate at a higher TDP of up to 40 watts of sustained power consumption (PL1) and even up to 60 watts on short bursts (PL2) compared to the typical 28 watts of the predecessor models.

However, the bigger innovation takes place on the GPU side: In addition to the integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics, NVIDIA’s new mid-tier GPU, the GeForce RTX 3050 Ti, can now optionally be chosen in the product configurator at tuxedocomputers.com.

Due to the 14-inch Linux ultrabook’s extremely thin and small form factor, the RTX 3050 Ti is specified to run as very powerefficient Max-Q variant with a TGP of 35 watts. However, NVIDIA’s Dynamic Boost technology can increase the Total Graphics Power to up to 50 watts depending on the simultaneous CPU load.

To boost performance even more, the GeForce RTX 3050 Ti – like all NVIDIA "RTX" graphics cards – supports Deep Learning Super Sampling, DLSS for short. This A.I.-based upscaling technology renders the game in a lower resolution and interpolates it to the native screen resolution via well-engineered algorithms – with impressive results in terms of visual quality and improved frame rate performance.

Improved cooling solution with 2 fans and 2 heatpipes

In order to be able to remove the additional heat from the dedicated GPU, the InfinityBook Pro 14 with new CPUs now comes with an improved cooling system with 2 fans and 2 heatpipes instead of each 1 fan and heatpipe from the previous model.

Furthermore this enhanced cooling solution is not exclusive to the InfinityBook Pro 14 with the RTX 3050 Ti though. It comes per default with the version with integrated Iris Xe graphics as well and therefore helps to maintain higher clocks speeds and lower temperatures on the Intel Core i5-11300H and Core i7-11370H processors.

Existing strengths remain

While the chassis weight increases hardly noticeably from 1 kg to 1.1 kg with the dual fan setup, the other strengths of the original InfinityBook Pro 14 remain untouched:

The very thin yet sturdy magnesium chassis with an extremly small footprint of 309 x 215 mm due to very thin screen bezels, a 53 Wh battery for runtimes of up to 12 hours (idle), the full-featured USB-C 4 / Thunderbolt 4 port with DisplayPort 1.4 and Power Delivery for charging the laptop and the gorgeous Omnia 3K IPS display with 2880 x 1800 pixels in the community‘s highly requested 16:10 aspect ratio.

HDMI 2.0, USB-C 3.2 Gen2 and two USB-A 3.2 Gen1 ports, a SD card reader as well as up to 2×32 GB RAM (dual channel) and 2x M.2 NVMe SSDs (1x PCI Express 4.0 x4, 1x PCI Express 3.0 x2) round off the connectivity of the TUXEDO InfinityBook Pro 14.

Now available starting from 1180 EUR!

The base configuration with the Core i5-1135G7 with Intel Iris Xe Graphics starts at an entry-level price of 1180 EUR and features the 2K 16:10 IPS display, 8 GB 3200 MHz DDR4 RAM, and a 250 GB Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe SSD. With the 3K Omnia display and the new Core i5-11300H instead, the price rises to 1360 EUR.

Depending on the configuration the InfinityBook Pro 14 is already in stock; Units with the new Tiger Lake H35 CPUs and RTX 3050 Ti will be in stock from 20th of October. Pre-orders can be placed from 06th of October.
