Eurowings becomes new customer of Elbe Flugzeugwerke GmbH
The cooperation with Eurowings marks an important milestone for the expansion of the aftermarket business of composite solutions as a further well-known Airline relies on high performance products made by EFW.
Eurowings will receive from EFW composite spare parts for Airbus Aircraft like floor panels and cargo linings for the PAX and Cargo compartments offering increased robustness and durability. First products have been delivered already in July 2021.

Elbe Flugzeugwerke GmbH (EFW), the joint venture between ST Engineering and Airbus combines various aviation and technology activities under a single roof: development and manufacturing of fibre-reinforced composite components for aircraft structures and interiors, the conversion of passenger aircraft into freighter configuration, MRO services on all Airbus aircraft as well as engineering expertise in the context of certification and approval. The company has a workforce of more than 1,600 employees and achieved revenues of approximately €300 million in 2019. Being experienced in aviation for several decades, EFW looks back onto an impressive track-record of more than 5 Million produced composite components, more than 200 passenger to freighter conversions and numerous maintenance events on commercial and military aircraft.
