Man, machine and the Metaverse – Hyundai realizes CES appearance with Uniplan

Hyundai and the international brand experience agency Uniplan are once again realizing an extraordinary brand presence for the South Korean mobility provider, this time at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2022 in Las Vegas. According to the motto "New Movements with our Robotics Technologies", visitors will be offered an experience of a special kind on a total area of almost 700 square meters from 05.01.2022 to 07.01.2022.

"We are delighted to be able to realize Hyundai’s brand presence at CES 2022 in Las Vegas, following our successful collaboration at the IAA 2021 in Munich. Together with our project partner, the content producer The Mill, we were able to design a truly impressive trade show booth for Hyundai," said Uniplan CEO Europe Rüdiger Maeßen.

On six product platforms, Hyundai presents various objects of its robot portfolio and introduces its futuristic vision of an interplay between man and machine, reality and Metaverse. At the same time, the company is bridging the gap between mobility and robotics in this way.

"When developing the booth concept, it was essential to us to offer visitors an experience that takes away their reservations about robotics and instead arouses curiosity and demonstrates the advantages and diverse applications of such technologies. This is all about connectivity between humans and robots and also a bit about the new future topic of Metaverse," explains Fabian Rothe, Creative Director at Uniplan.

This target is reflected in the booth design and the trade show appearance as a whole: while the exterior cladding of the booth is mirrored and thus appears relatively restrained, the interior LED lighting, which radiates outward through the various entrances, attracts visitors to the interior of the booth.

In addition to the individual product platforms, an LED-lit action area in the centre of the booth provides sufficient space for regular demonstrations of the individual robots – including the well-known model “Spot” – and their functions.

Another highlight is a five-meter-high, fully-projectable LED room that offers visitors an extraordinary experience: together with its partner, The Mill, Uniplan has created an immersive experience that simulates entering the Metaverse and includes interaction with personalized and independently acting avatars.

This booth concept creates a holistic and fascinating experience that visitors of CES 2022 can look forward to and that will be remembered for a long time.
