Monitoring Platform MORE accepted as a CPA data collector

MORE – MOnitoring Recyclates for Europe – has been confirmed as a Circular Plastics Alliance (CPA) data collector by both the CPA Monitoring Secretariat and CPA Monitoring Working Group.

The EuPC’s digital platform has been slightly updated to adapt to the requirements of the CPA, an initiative of the European Commission to reach or exceed the objective of using 10 million tons of recycled plastics in the manufacture of new products in Europe from 2025. In this way, the data that is reported through the platform will also serve to measure the achievement of that objective.

In the future, MORE webpage will provide all the information about the CPA audits, including a list of approved CPA auditors on a dedicated page added to the website for that purpose.

“We are excited that MORE has been confirmed as an official CPA data collector this week and that our platform will continue to serve the plastics converting community in Europe. With MORE, our industry has the opportunity to continue showcasing its efforts towards a circular plastics economy and be more transparent on the volumes of recycled polymers they use in converting infrastructures. As reported volumes grow year after year, we can simply conclude that the converters community has widely accepted the MORE tool in Europe" said EuPC Managing Director Alexandre Dangis.

The MORE platform was launched by EuPC in cooperation with its member associations in April 2019 to monitor and register the industry’s efforts to reach the EU target of 10 million tonnes of recycled polymers being used annually between 2025 and 2030. Overall, the MORE platform is currently available to plastics converting companies in all European countries, and is experiencing a constant growth of members and reported volumes. The use of recycled polymers is collected on a yearly basis and the aggregate results are published per country and on the European level, and we expect to publish the results from our latest survey in upcoming weeks.

Together we continue to make MORE efforts to reach the EU targets towards 2025.

About MORE:

MORE is the unified, digital platform to monitor the use of recycled polymers in the European plastics converting industry. MORE is helping the plastics industry to become more circular by collecting the volumes of recycled polymers that are used by plastics converting companies to create new products, and by stimulating a higher uptake of recycled polymers.
