New SUP models for mythical water adventures

The SUP brand CALA starts the summer of 2022 with two new board models: with "Atla", a successful mix of all-round and touring board, and with "Mana" as a versatile all-round SUP board, beginners and professionals can conquer any body of water. CALA was founded in Mexico in 2015 and offers durable inflatable high-performance boards in eye-catching designs with lightweight carbon paddles. The mats on all CALA boards are made of algae foam. CALA boards are available in Europe, the UK and the USA. More info and store at: https://europe.calaboards.com/…

The Atla board is part of CALA’s Touring series and is also great for more demanding use in the sea and ocean: thanks to the specially shaped board tip, it cuts through the waves very well. Atla was designed as a mix of touring and all-round board. It is relatively short, making it easy to maneuver even in choppy water. The blood-red Viking helmet with the two paddles depicted on the SUP stands for courage and a sense of adventure. The name of the board is also pure promise: In Norse mythology, the beautiful giantess Atla is the goddess of water.

Beginners and advanced riders conquer all waters with ease on the versatile all-round model Mana. The enticing wave imagery on the board is the program here. The Austronesian term "Mana" is best translated as a combination of presence, charisma, prestige, honor and spiritual power: The Māori believe that all people, as well as many elements of nature, possess mana.

"The mats on all CALA boards are made of algae foam, which is made from environmentally harmful algae bloom. CALA’s commitment to clean water and a healthy underwater environment remains an important corporate goal in 2022, and one that we are eager to continue and also expand upon. Our dream is to make the most sustainable SUP board in the world and we are constantly working on that," Sebastian Grazzini, founder of CALA, explains the future perspective of the brand. So far, CALA has partnered with the Beyond Coral Foundation and the Ocean Concervancy organization, among others.
