Implementing AI applications through InnoEx from Innodisk

AI and AIoT are booming around the world. According to Vodafone, over 55 billion IoT devices are expected to be connected worldwide by 2025. With such a large number of devices, remote management is necessary, for one thing. On the other hand, devices need to be deployed so that applications can be implemented efficiently.

Innodisk has developed the new InnoEx Virtual I/O Expansion Module. This helps the global industry efficiently deploy various intelligent AI applications by integrating software and hardware using Virtual I/O Expansion technology. This integration helps companies manage and control their computer peripherals budget more effectively and solve the problem of complicated networks. There is no need to separate and rearrange them. Networks can be expanded using virtual I/O technology with just a single computer system and a single network line. Multiple InnoEx modules can be connected in series to flexibly expand the number and distance of end devices.

Miniaturization in the computing world has greatly reduced the space available for I/O expansion slots. If developers want to increase the number of I/O expansion devices, they often have to redesign the motherboard, which can be time-consuming and uneconomical. Various integrated expansion cards from Innodisk can solve these problems. However, some motherboards cannot use expansion cards. To address this problem, Innodisk has introduced a new virtual I/O expansion solution. InnoEx allows a single computer system to be connected via a single link and works like a multi-function transfer port, effectively expanding the number and distance of external devices through virtual signals. It features high system compatibility, occupies no additional I/O slots of the original computer system, and requires no changes to the mechanism design. It can also be integrated into the existing network architecture to achieve unlimited I/O expansion through networking.

The InnoEx virtual I/O expansion module supports interfaces such as HDMI and USB. Innodisk will also launch serial variants and CANbus versions in the second quarter of 2023. InnoEx is suitable for applications such as smart retail, smart image recognition, digital display and AGV smart handling. Thus, various industrial applications and advanced intelligent AI applications can also be flexibly realized.
