Changes in the management of Doosan Lentjes: Bodo Röhs becomes Director Sales & Proposals

Doosan Lentjes, a leading provider of environmental technologies, has appointed Bodo Röhs as its new Director Sales & Proposals with effect from 01 July 2023. Röhs succeeds Dr. Thorsten Becker, who will leave the company in August this year. Dr. Becker has been responsible for Sales since 2016 and additionally for Proposals and Product Management since May 2022.

Bodo Röhs looks back on a long career in the international plant engineering environment. The industrial engineer has been working in the field of thermal waste treatment and flue gas cleaning for more than twelve years. He has held various management positions in business development, as Sales Director for new plants for thermal waste treatment and as Head of the Plant Modernisation Department.

"We are very pleased to have won Bodo Röhs, a proven expert with deep industry know-how and sales expertise, as successor to Dr. Thorsten Becker”, says Dirk Stokvis, CEO of Doosan Lentjes. "His main focus will be to further establish Doosan Lentjes in the market as a reliable one-stop supplier for the entire process of thermal waste treatment and sewage sludge incineration, as well as to secure projects and long-term partnerships. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr. Becker very much for the work he has done over the past years."

Bodo Röhs, who has taken over responsibility for product management in addition to sales and proposal management, is looking forward to the new challenge: "Doosan Lentjes has achieved impressive success in winning orders in recent years. I would like to build on these so that the company remains an important participant in the thermal waste and sewage sludge treatment market in the future. The company’s particular strength is its ability to offer customers interface-optimised solutions: Not only do we cover the entire process chains with our own technologies, but we can also handle projects as a general contractor with our parent company Doosan Enerbility and represent an impressive depth in the value chain when acting together. I see our offer as an important contribution to solving global disposal problems and to securing more resource conservation: waste that can no longer be recycled or is contaminated with pollutants is used energetically to generate electricity and heat. Since more than half of the energy it contains is of biogenic origin, its use contributes to achieving renewable energy targets. I am now very much looking forward to supporting our customers in solving their challenges with our offer and positioning Doosan Lentjes for the future together with my team."

Doosan Lentjes is headquartered in Ratingen, Germany, and is part of the Korean Doosan Group. The company’s areas of expertise include technologies for thermal waste and sewage sludge treatment, circulating fluidised bed boilers and flue gas cleaning systems.
