Bolstering Mission-Solution portfolio: KNDS showcases first drone launch container prototype at Eurosatory 2026
A key element of this display is a first prototype of a universal 20-foot drone launch container. The prototype includes the integration of TYTAN’s autonomous interceptor and Helsing’s loitering capabilities. TYTAN’s METIS is an autonomous, cost-efficient and mass-deployable kinetic interceptor, whereas Helsing’s HX-2 is a software- and AI- defined strike drone which is resistant to jamming.
The collaboration reflects a shared sense of responsibility for Europe. KNDS, a leading land defence system house, as well as TYTAN Technologies and Helsing, two leading defence-technology innovators, are united by a common commitment to European sovereignty, innovation speed and rapid deployment.
The operational integration of drone-solutions in the battlefield-organisation and logistic is one of the key-capabilities to enable an effective and flexible use of drone-assets on the battlefield. The system is designed for remote deployment of drone-based sensors and effectors from forward or distributed positions. Its modular architecture allows the integration of different drone types and payloads, supporting rapid adaptation to changing operational requirements.
“We are constantly extending our partner-eco-system and offer our partners a solid and reliable platform to integrate new, innovative solutions into existing KNDS Mission-Solutions and environments”, said Mathias Noehl, EVP Digitalisation at KNDS. “Thereby, we`re creating significant added value for our customers and at the same time – are coping with the high dynamics of changing requirements on the battlefield”.
“Our mission is to build Europe’s next generation air defence architecture. For European armed forces to protect their soldiers and assets, autonomous, mass-deployment ready systems alongside reliable, interoperable platforms are critical,” said Batuhan Yumurtacı, Co-Founder and CTO of TYTAN Technologies. “As a leading land systems integrator and partner to both TYTAN and Helsing, KNDS enables us to bring an attritable mass of unmanned systems onto established, proven platforms and from there into the hands of the end user.”
KNDS’ efforts to provide complete Mission-Solutions consist of connected surveillance-, loitering and interceptor-drones to enhance speed and precision of the mission and coping with hostile drone-threats at the same time. At the core of the demonstration are KNDS’ digital command and integration layers, including the Mission Operating System and the iC2 mission core. Together they are designed to connect sensors, effectors and command elements across the battlefield — enabling faster information flow, coordinated mission execution and improved protection against hostile drone threats.
