W. Gessmann Introduces new AMR Technologies at LogiMAT 2026
At the trade fair, the GESSbot will be presented, among other applications, as a wagon transporter: it can autonomously pick up, transport, and place at the destination. Customers can transport goods on pallets, in mesh boxes, or other containers, while the cart remains securely connected to the GESSbot during transport.
Another application of the GESSbot is the roller conveyor, which fully automatically picks up and delivers KLT containers from transfer stations. The system length is designed to transport two R-KLT 6415 containers. Safe handover is ensured through locking with a metal plunger and precise detection of the transfer stations. Additionally, the roller conveyor can be combined with an RFID reader and the GESSbot lifting system, which allows lifting operations up to 300 kg and offers flexible height adjustment of up to 300 mm. For lighter loads, Gessmann offers another lifting system that impresses with its variable weight and height adjustments.
Practical applications of the GESSbot in industrial environments are implemented, for example, in modern C-part management at Würth Industrie Service. There, the GESSbot flexibly transports the ORSY®mat dispensing machine, ensuring fast, cost-efficient material supply directly to the workplace. This optimizes decentralized material distribution, reduces walking distances, and increases the efficiency, flexibility, and safety of employees.
Another focus at LogiMAT is the AMR-cobot combination. Together with the TM-12 cobot from Techman, the GESSbot can perform precise tasks at machines and transfer stations. The cobot’s integrated camera with AI-based object recognition allows adaptation to changing conditions during machine loading and unloading. Automatic tool changes further expand the range of applications. Monotonous tasks can thus be automated, relieving employees, while tasks can also be reliably performed outside regular working hours, such as during night or shift work. These systems also provide added value in autonomous warehouse logistics, automated pick-and-pack processes, and the safe transport of goods in collaboration with humans.
In addition, Gessmann will showcase a GESSbot-cobot combination in a palletizing scenario with the TM25 cobot, capable of handling loads up to 25 kg. With a reach of 1,902 mm, the cobot is ideally suited for automating transport and handling processes in industries such as mechanical engineering, automotive, semiconductor, consumer electronics, and food production.
W. Gessmann will present the GESSbot as well as Techman cobots in various applications at LogiMAT 2026 in Hall 8, booth 8F73.
