Three power plant units of RWE Power that were previously on standby will return to the electricity market on schedule in October. The German government has issued the necessary ordinance within the framework of the German Act on the Maintenance of Replacement Power Plants (Ersatzkraftwerkebereithaltungsgesetz). The units Neurath C, Niederaussem E and F are already scheduled to go into operation in the coming days. Drei bislang in Sicherheitsbereitschaft stehende Kraftwerksblöcke von RWE Power kehren fristgerecht an den Strommarkt zurück. Eine dafür notwendige Verordnung im Rahmen des Ersatzkraftwerkebereithaltungsgesetzes hat die Bundesregierung erlassen. Die Blöcke Neurath C sowie Niederaußem E und F sollen bereits in den kommenden Tagen in Betrieb gehen. Der marktgerechte Einsatz der Anlagen obliegt, wie bei allen anderen Kraftwerken auch, dem Betreiber. Die drei Braunkohlenblöcke verfügen über eine Leistung von jeweils 300 Megawatt (MW). Mit ihrem Einsatz tragen sie in der Energiekrise dazu bei, die Versorgungssicherheit in Deutschland zu stärken und Erdgas in der Stromerzeugung einzusparen.
