By introducing MasterTop BC 372EPA to the European market, Master Builders Solutions® adds a new component to its epoxy-based industrial MasterTop 1273 flooring system. The fiber-free solution is electrostatically conductive, has ESD properties and is suitable for Electrostatic Protected Areas (EPA).
Static electricity is a common challenge in production facilities for IT components, photovoltaic systems or batteries for electric vehicles, as well as in robotics, in hospitals or laboratories of the pharmaceutical industry. Electrical charge is generated by even very low levels of friction, such as the friction between shoe and floor when walking. If static electricity discharges in an uncontrolled way, sensitive electrical equipment can be damaged, which can have serious consequences for products, goods and people.

MasterTop 1273 is a modular flooring system that provides custom-tailored solutions for various customer requirements. Its specific properties can be modified or added by selecting from a broad range of available components. If, for instance, the floor needs to provide protection against electrostatic discharge (ESD) or is used for grounding personnel that handle electrostatic discharge sensitive devices (ESDS), MasterTop BC 372EPA is the right choice.
