Green Energy 3000 progresses well through the Corona crisis

The Green Energy 3000 Group has achieved its goals for 2020 and laid the foundation for successful development in 2021 and subsequent years by flexibly changing its processes during the Corona pandemic. The company’s employees have shown through their commitment to the conversion to home office and cloud solutions that Green Energy 3000 can continue to develop in a stable manner even in times of crisis.

Projects realised in 2020 / 1st half of 2021

In Bavaria, the Gauaschach wind farm with a total output of 12.3 MW was built in 2020/21 under very challenging conditions and in a topographically difficult low mountain range location. The three Nordex N149 and N133 wind turbines with hub heights of up to 166 m are among the largest turbines currently installed in Bavaria. The wind farm was sold to a group of investors.

At the end of 2020, construction began on the Maulbeerwalde photovoltaic system in Brandenburg with a total capacity of 8 MWp. Delayed module deliveries extended the construction period and the solar park will be fully commissioned in July 2021. Green Energy 3000 sold the project to an investor in 2020.

Furthermore, several smaller photovoltaic plants with 750 kWp were built and commissioned in Germany. The plants remain in the portfolio of Green Asset 3000 GmbH.

Another solar park was also commissioned in France. The 5 MWp plant in the French town of Chassenard in the department of Allier will remain in Green Asset 3000 GmbH’s own portfolio, just like the smaller German plants.

The wind farms Pauvres with 4 wind turbines Vestas V117 with a total capacity of 12 MW and Villers-le-Tourneur with 5 wind turbines Nordex N117 with a total capacity of 15 MW, developed and planned by Green Energy 3000, were also completed. Both wind farms are located in the Champagne-Ardennes department in France. While the Pauvres wind farm was sold to an investor together with the operational management, the technical operational management for Villers-le-Tourneur remains with Green Asset 3000 GmbH.

In the first half of 2021, Green Energy 3000 was able to continue this positive trend and commission the 3.2 MWp open-space photovoltaic plant Falkenstein 3 in Saxony-Anhalt. This plant also entered the company’s own portfolio and is managed by the operational management company Green Asset 3000 GmbH.

Establishment of company portfolio and operational management with Green Asset 3000 GmbH

Green Asset 3000 GmbH was reorganised in 2019 and offers technical and commercial operational management of wind and solar parks. The company currently manages 10 projects with a capacity of 52.7 MWp (11.2 MW PV / 28.8 MW wind).

International focus expanded

In May 2021, the Green Energy 3000 Project Management LLC was founded in Dubai for international projects mainly outside Western Europe. From here, the first activities on projects in Africa and the MENA region are currently starting.

Outlook for 2021 / First solar projects with battery storage

For the second half of 2021, Green Energy 3000 GmbH expects the construction of the first two photovoltaic plants with battery storage in Bavaria and Saxony with a total output of 12.6 MWp + 4.1 MW battery storage. The contract for the corresponding tariffs has already been awarded and construction is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2021.

In August, a 1.1 MW PV plant in Osterburg in Saxony-Anhalt will also be constructed and the 18 MWp solar park in Maulbeerwalde in Brandenburg will be extended by further 2 MWp in autumn 2021. Both projects are already sold to investors.

In the fourth quarter of 2021, construction will begin on the French wind farm in Attigny (Champagne-Ardennes) with 4 wind turbines and a total output of 12 MW. This wind farm will also be operated and managed in Green Asset 3000’s own portfolio.

The project pipeline of the Green Energy 3000 Group continues to be well filled. Based on the current planning, several solar and wind parks with significantly larger individual volumes will be realised in the coming years, both nationally and internationally.
