EURODIS transports 80 per cent more consignments and awards top members

  • Growth in the first half of 2022 again driven by a strong increase in B2C shipments
  • The three prizes in the European transport network competitions were won by trans-o-flex (Germany) and Express One (Hungary)

EURODIS, the network for joint international transport of parcels and pallets in 36 European countries, increased the number of transported shipments by 80 per cent in the first half of 2022 compared to the same period last year. The driver of the development was once again a strong increase in the number of shipments to private recipients (B2C). This was announced by Jens Reibold, Managing Director of EURODIS GmbH, which steers the network, in Amsterdam at this year’s EURODIS Annual Conference. "Without outstanding quality, such growth would not be possible," Reibold said, building a bridge to EURODIS‘ internal quality competitions, whose winners were also honoured in Amsterdam.

"The competitions are an important part of our quality management and a strong motivation and recognition of their performance for the respective teams," Reibold explained. For the sixth time in a row, the prize for the best operational quality was awarded to the German EURODIS member trans-o-flex Express. The most important criteria evaluated in this competition are transit times, status information, data transmission and proof of delivery. This data is measured and evaluated daily in order to optimally control and improve processes.

The Hungarian member Express One was able to win two competitions this year, namely the one for the best customer service and the sales competition. The most important criteria for customer service are the speed and quality with which EURODIS members answer enquiries. "Keeping customers or partners waiting is as impolite as it is unprofessional and makes people dissatisfied," says Reibold. "Satisfaction of our customers and partners is a main task for us. The better we fulfil it, the greater our chances for further growth."

For the sales competition, EURODIS members submit proven sales concepts and success stories. "The idea behind this competition is as simple as it is effective: learn from the best!" explains Reibold. "EURODIS supports its members to learn from each other, not least with the help of this competition. We encourage them to be inspired by the best solutions and to tailor them to the needs of the customers in their country."
