FEPE in 2025
One of the strongest signals of confidence in the association this year was the arrival of five new members: Cartiere Saci, OnePoint Systems, Offmar, Sylvamo and Partners III Nations SL. Their decision to join FEPE underscores the association’s relevance in a rapidly changing market and further strengthens the expertise and representativeness of the FEPE community. We are very much looking forward to our future cooperation with all new members and to building a strong and active relationship in the years ahead.
A central milestone of the year was the FEPE Congress 2025 in Sofia, held from 10 to 12 September. It brought together manufacturers, postal operators, paper producers, technology partners and sector associations from across Europe. The feedback from participants was extremely positive, with strong appreciation for the rich programme, high-level speakers and excellent networking opportunities. Discussions focused on evolving market trends, regulatory developments, sustainability, the future of postal communication and strengthening cooperation across the European paper-based value chain. Once again, the Congress confirmed FEPE’s role as a key platform for dialogue and industry strategy.
In September, FEPE as an exhibitor was also strongly represented at Fachpack 2025 in Nuremberg, one of Europe’s most important packaging fairs. The event offered valuable opportunities for exchange with members, partners and new contacts, while highlighting envelope, e-commerce and fibre-based light packaging solutions. The feedback once again confirmed the importance of visible sector representation at major European trade fairs.
Throughout 2025, FEPE remained highly active in advocacy and cooperation. The Keep Me Posted EU initiative continued to expand its visibility through dedicated events, including at the European Parliament, defending citizens’ right to choose how they receive essential communications and warning against the risks of a digital-only approach. At European level, FEPE also significantly strengthened its role within CITPA, where FEPE joined the Board of Directors, ensuring direct representation of the envelope and light-packaging sector in key regulatory discussions.
FEPE was also present at several important partner events, including the PostEurop General Assembly in Tirana, the UPU meetings in Bern, the Two Sides Power of Print event in London, and the partnering associations within CITPA were further reinforced, with FEPE taking part in meetings in Paris and Brussels. These exchanges highlighted FEPE’s commitment to deepening collaboration across all associations working under the wider CITPA umbrella. In addition, FEPE strengthened its ties with international partners, including the EMA (Envelope Manufacturers Association) in the United States, participating in their annual event in Austin, an important step in reinforcing global industry dialogue.
Another important milestone in 2025 was FEPE’s acquisition of the Europe Mailer Packaging Market Analysis, a forward-looking market study covering developments up to 2030. The report was presented at the FEPE Congress in Sofia and now offers members an important opportunity to contribute input and ensure that the outlook fully reflects the realities of the mailer packaging market.
The association now moves forward towards 2026 with strengthened partnerships, an expanding European network and a clear mission: to support and defend the envelopes, the future of paper-based communication and light packaging in Europe.
FEPE warmly wishes all members, partners and stakeholders a Merry Christmas, happy holidays and a prosperous, healthy and peaceful New Year.
