Safe charging and storage of lithium-ion batteries, including monitoring

The BATTERY line safety cabinets are specially designed to meet the high requirements for the safe storage and charging of lithium-ion batteries. With a Type 90 classification and explosion-proof interior tested by the independent Fraunhofer Institute, the BATTERY line offers double fire protection.

Preventive safety is completed by 24/7 cloud monitoring from DÜPERTHAL connect. The system serves as an early warning system for detecting thermal events in the cabinet. The sensors in the BATTERY line measure temperatures – the connected hardware sends the measurement data directly to the DÜPERTHAL connect software. The measured values can be displayed graphically in the browser-based software. If individually definable threshold values are exceeded or not reached, the monitoring system automatically sends email and/or SMS messages to the responsible persons defined in DÜPERTHAL connect.

As a preventive measure, the doors of the BATTERY line should always be kept closed when not in use. An alarm system is available to indicate when doors are open, including the option of a visual and audible signal outside the cabinet.

In addition, the integrated potential-free contact can be used for external signal transmission to a fire alarm system, and a smoke alarm can be integrated. Even in the event of a power failure, the functionality of the sensor technology is maintained by batteries.

The BATTERY line with preventive temperature monitoring ensures that responsible persons (e.g. fire brigade) are quickly informed at all times – this creates time for evacuation and a buffer for firefighting. A system for maximum safety of personnel and inventory!

Approved backdraft protection (smoke gas explosions)
In the event of a fire inside the cabinet, the doors close and lock automatically to prevent a backdraft (smoke gas explosion).

Fire suppression without extinguishing agents
Thermally insulated storage levels and structurally engineered oxygen reduction prevent fires from spreading within the storage level and to adjacent fire compartments.
