Lauterbach Announces Full Support for Next-Generation Arm C1 CPUs

Hoehenkirchen, Germany—December, 02, 2025 — Lauterbach’s market-leading TRACE32 solutions now also support the leading-edge Arm®v9.3 C1 CPU family: the C1-Nano, C1-Pro, C1-Premium and C1-Ultra. TRACE32 support includes simultaneous debugging of the CPU cores as well as non-intrusive CPU trace capture.

All four Armv9.3 C1 processors launched earlier this year and are now being deployed in next generation systems. From Nano to Ultra, feature the groundbreaking Scalable Matrix Extension 2 (SME2), which accelerates matrix-orientated compute workloads directly on device. Through SME2, the Arm C1 CPU cluster delivers up to 3x improved efficiency and 5x AI speed-up compared to the previous generation CPU cluster.

Lauterbach’s TRACE32® supports the entire Product Life Cycle (PLC) from Pre-Silicon to Prototyping & Testing to In-Field analysis including cloud-based debugging and profiling. It provides the broadest support for emulators, simulators and virtual targets in the industry as well as hardware-accelerated debugging and real-time tracing of all Arm cores.

TRACE32® solutions consist of the universal PowerView debugging and tracing software as well as debug and trace accelerator modules. While Lauterbach’s intelligent PowerDebug modules provide highest download speeds and smallest response times for efficient debugging and test automation, PowerTrace real-time trace modules provide full insights into what the CPUs and other cores of an Armv9.3 system are doing without impacting its real-time performance in any way. Trace analysis including code coverage measurements can support bringing designs to market faster, safer, and more reliably than ever across robotics, automotive, cloud, and edge applications.

TRACE32® enables simultaneous debugging and tracing of the Arm and other cores in a SoC; a unique capability to cover the whole system. It does not matter whether the system is SMP (Symmetric Multiprocessing), AMP (Asymmetric Multiprocessing), or iAMP (Integrated Asymmetrical Multiprocessing). Lauterbach’s innovative iAMP debug and trace technology enables developers to debug multicore systems with identical CPU instruction sets in just one TRACE32® PowerView GUI.

“The newest Armv9.3 C1 CPUs deliver impressive advances in computing performance and energy efficiency”, says Alexandre Schaefer, Director of Sales at Lauterbach GmbH. “As the Arm platform continues to define the edge AI computing landscape, our longstanding partnership makes it imperative we evolve TRACE32 to give developers the most advanced tools to build and optimize on Arm. "

“As our partners develop increasingly complex SoCs for future edge AI applications, debug and trace visibility is essential,” said Stefan Rosinger, senior director, CPU product management, Edge AI Business Unit, Arm. “By extending TRACE32 support to our new Arm C1 CPUs, Lauterbach is helping developers to unlock the full performance potential of the Armv9.3 architecture from day one, accelerating time to market and ensuring reliability across the entire product lifecycle.”

Lauterbach’s TRACE32® enables developers to provide innovations even faster and easier.
