Arvato Systems receives gematik-approval for TI- Messenger tim+

The TI messenger is based on a secure, decentralized, and interoperable architecture. Arvato Systems operates tim+ in a state-of-the-art cloud environment in Germany, certified according to the C5 standard. This creates a scalable infrastructure that meets current legal requirements for data protection and information security while also being prepared for future developments.

"tim+ has the potential to improve patient care in the long term. Thanks to its connection to electronic patient records and health insurance apps, documents and messages can also be sent directly to patients. In the future, appointments, video consultations, and care requests can also be securely processed via tim+. Technologically, there are virtually no limits here," adds Isabel Mehlmann, Product Manager at Arvato Systems.

With approval granted, the way is now clear for the next step: Arvato Systems will begin “controlled testing phase” this year together with selected participants from the outpatient and inpatient sectors. Mobile clients, video consultations, chatbots, and integration into primary systems will follow in 2026.
