Softing Industrial expands dataFEED OPC Suite with FANUC CNC connectivity and MQTT Version 5
New connectivity for FANUC CNC: Use machine data without program changes
With the support of FANUC CNC, dataFEED OPC Suite 5.60 unlocks one of the world’s most widely used CNC technologies. Users gain access to process and status data from modern FANUC controllers – including the 30i, 31i, 32i, 35i, 0i, and Power Motion i series – without having to make changes to the existing control program. Communication takes place via the integrated FOCAS-2 interface with no additional FANUC license required. This enables secure use of machine data for analysis, monitoring, and optimization via OPC UA, OPC Classic, or MQTT.
MQTT Version 5: Advanced features for modern IIoT and cloud architectures
Another focus of dataFEED OPC Suite Version 5.60 is the expansion of MQTT functionality. The suite now supports MQTT Version 5. In addition, handling MQTT data sources and targets has been simplified: Plain text payloads, arrays, and automatic data type conversion enable more flexible and efficient data processing. This applies to retrieving data from MQTT publishers and to connecting to MQTT brokers.
In addition, a new download function facilitates access to support and diagnostic data and assists users with commissioning, maintenance, and error analysis. As usual, Version 5.60 of the dataFEED OPC Suite combines OPC UA and OPC Classic communication, store-and-forward mechanisms, and MQTT and REST connectivity in an integrated software solution.
All-in-one platform for OPC UA, OPC Classic, MQTT, and REST
dataFEED OPC Suite 5.60 is aimed at machine and plant manufacturers, production companies, system integrators, and providers of IT and cloud solutions who want to securely integrate production and machine data from the OT level into IT and cloud systems. The new features are included in the existing dataFEED OPC Suite Extended license and are available immediately.
With more than 40 years of experience, Softing Industrial Automation specializes in integrating and optimizing digital data communication in industrial environments. Its products ensure reliable and secure data flow from the OT level to IT systems, edge, and cloud applications. This enables customers to increase the efficiency, reliability, and security of their industrial processes.
