Purdue, Rittal + Eplan announce strategic partnership for smart manufacturing, engineering education
Purdue University and Rittal and Eplan, sister companies and global leaders in industrial and electrical engineering solutions and automation, have announced a major strategic partnership. The five-year collaboration centers around the Purdue Polytechnic Institute and was officially sealed at the Rockwell Automation Fair in Chicago in November. The partnership will see Purdue join the Rittal + Eplan Partner Network as a research partner with a focus on design of advancing smart manufacturing education and preparing students for the next industrial revolution. CADENAS: newest technology partner in the Eplan Partner Network
The contract was signed, live at the SPS in Nuremberg, Germany: CADENAS is now the newest member of the Eplan Partner Network. CADENAS Managing Director Terry Jonen and Eplan Managing Director Haluk Menderes signed the new technology partnership agreement on 26 November 2025. The stated goal of the cooperation is the expanded provision of technical device data via the Eplan Data Portal, which will be implemented using a direct interface between the Data Portal and the CADENAS platform 3Dfindit. Eplan will be presenting a new solution on the topic of product change notification (PCN) at the SPS in Nuremberg. The solutions provider will be previewing a demonstrator based on the Asset Administration Shell, which is sure to cause users and component manufacturers to take notice. If a manufacturer changes a component, the information flows directly into the Eplan Data Portal. Zur SPS in Nürnberg präsentiert Eplan eine neue Lösung zum Thema Product Change Notification (PCN). Der Lösungsanbieter zeigt als Preview einen Demonstrator auf Basis der Verwaltungsschale (Asset Adminstration Shell), der Anwender wie Komponentenhersteller aufhorchen lässt. Ändert ein Hersteller eine Komponente, fließt die Information direkt ins Eplan Data Portal ein.
