Symrise AG has fundamentally modernized the filling of cosmetic ingredients at its production site in Goose Creek, South Carolina. The aim was to automate physically demanding processes, increase plant performance, and ensure a high degree of flexibility when handling different viscosities and container types. In collaboration with packaging machinery manufacturer Greif-Velox from Germany, a customized, fully automated filling solution was implemented—with measurable success. Die Symrise AG am Produktionsstandort Goose Creek in South Carolina (USA) hat die Abfüllung kosmetischer Inhaltsstoffe grundlegend modernisiert. Ziel war es, körperlich belastende Prozesse zu automatisieren, die Anlagenleistung zu erhöhen und eine hohe Flexibilität im Umgang mit verschiedenen Viskositäten und Gebindearten sicherzustellen. In Zusammenarbeit mit dem Verpackungsmaschinen-Hersteller Greif-Velox wurde eine maßgeschneiderte, vollautomatische Abfülllösung implementiert – mit messbarem Erfolg. Ausgangslage: Limitierte Leistung, hohe Belastung Vor Projektbeginn setzte Symrise am Standort Goose Creek eine halbautomatische Abfüllanlage für Kanister ein.
