    Polarization-controlled VCSEL testing

At LASER WoP 2022 Instrument Systems will be presenting its latest VTC 4000 infrared camera for the near-field analysis of narrow-band emitters, e.g. VCSELs or lasers. Industry-standard VCSELs emit in more than one polarization state, each with different polarization angles, thus impeding error-free measurement. Thanks to a new one-shot process, the VTC 4000 simultaneously measures the spatial polarization of single emitters of an array and supplies the necessary information to reduce the polarization dependency of the measurement setup. This procedure minimizes the error budget of the VCSEL test system and provides highly accurate measured values for the eye safety of the laser source. This enables manufacturers to exploit the full…

    Polarisationskontrolliertes VCSEL-Testing

Laser safety for 3D sensor applications

Characterization of VCSEL elements for 3D sensor applications to IEC60825-1: Instrument Systems has developed a practical method of laser safety assessment for the pulsed VCSEL arrays frequently used in consumer electronics and LiDAR applications. Instrument Systems has developed a practicable concept for the laser safety assessment of VCSELs based on the international laser safety standard. With absolutely calibrated and modular test systems, such as the pulsed VCSEL tester PVT 100/110 and camera-based VTC 2400, the complete characterization of pulsed VCSEL arrays is possible. Since VCSEL arrays are experiencing a drastic growth in 3D sensor applications, e.g. face ID, automotive LiDAR and human-machine-interfaces (AR/VR), proof of eye safety is becoming increasingly…

Seit einigen…
