Maynards Europe Auctions Off the Last Opel Transmission Manufacturing Facility in Vienna
Until mid-2024, the Opel plant in Vienna-Aspern was dedicated to the serial production of 6-speed manual transmissions for combustion engine vehicles. With the plant’s closure, a broad portfolio of transmission manufacturing assets is now available and will be auctioned online on September 17 and 18, 2024. Liquidation of heavy duty mining equipment plant by order of Caterpillar Global Mining HMS GmbH
Maynards Europe GmbH, is pleased to announce the commencement of a series of sales events featuring the assets from the complete Caterpillar mining equipment factory in Dortmund, Germany. After decades of producing the famous Caterpillar mining machines and vehicles like the Hydraulic Mining Shovels Series 6060 the factory will be closing its gates due to strategic closure early 2022.
