NICOLAI Summer Festival from 1 to 3 September
From September 1 to 3, the German mountain bike manufacturer Nicolai invites you to their big Summer Festival in Mehle, Lower Saxony, Germany, an exclusive event that will take place for the first time this year. The Summer Festival replaces the previous in-house exhibition. Besides the well-known activities such as factory tours, test rides and joint rides, it offers an exciting, extensive supporting program, where anyone who is even slightly interested in bikes, trails and technology will get their money‘s worth. Vom 1. bis 3. September lädt die deutsche Mountainbike-Schmiede Nicolai zum großen Sommerfest ins niedersächsische Mehle ein, eine exklusive Party, die in diesem Jahr zum ersten Mal stattfindet. Das Sommerfest löst das bisherige Format der Hausmesse ab und bietet neben den bekannten Aktionen wie Werksführungen, Testrides und gemeinsamen Touren ein spannendes, umfangreiches Rahmenprogramm, bei dem jeder, der sich auch nur ansatzweise für Bikes, Trails und Technik interessiert, voll auf seine Kosten kommt. Eurobike sees the debut of the SWIFT model range from Nicolai. The German manufacturer is presenting two electrified, lightweight, full-suspension trail bikes equipped with the brand new Bosch SX motor: the Saturn 11 SWIFT and the Saturn 14 SWIFT. Mit dem G18 Hammer platziert Nicolai punktgenau ein Produkt für eine Nische, die aufgrund ihrer Popularität eigentlich gar keine Nische sein dürfte: Freeride. Formate wie Red Bull Rampage oder die Fest Series begeistern die Massen. Die Bikes der Athleten sind aber genau genommen gar nicht für diese Disziplin gebaut, sondern meist modifizierte Downhill Racebikes, die auf maximale Geschwindigkeit, Laufruhe und Fahrstabilität ausgelegt sind und nach Leichtbau-Kriterien designt wurden. Blind date with an old friend
The Nucleon 16 is a high-pivot 29er enduro bike with a mullet option in the 160 to 180 mm travel category that uses a new type of shifting technology: the Supre Drivetrain from Cedric Eveleigh‘s Canada-based development company LAL BIKES. Earlier Nucleon models from NICOLAI, such as the Nucleon DH or the Nucleon Evo, also utilized alternative shifting concepts and combined them with a high-pivot suspension design.
