Laserbeschriftung im Einklang mit der UDI
Mit dem in Kraft treten der Medical Device Regulation (MDR) verändern sich die Anforderungen an Hersteller, die Medizinprodukte für den europäischen Markt entwickeln. Die neue Richtlinie verfolgt das Ziel, die Qualität und Rückverfolgbarkeit von Medizinprodukten zu erhöhen. Damit nimmt sie Einfluss auf die Prozesse in der Fertigung der Produkte und bringt zusätzlichen Prüf- und Dokumentationsaufwand mit sich. Ein wesentlicher Bestandteil der MDR ist die dauerhaft lesbare Beschriftung von Medizinprodukten (Unique Device Identification, UDI). Der rückverfolgbare UDI-Code soll innerhalb der Lieferkette einen schnellen Rückruf ermöglichen, die entsprechenden Informationen werden in der Europäischen Datenbank für Medizinprodukte (EUDAMED) gespeichert.
