Omnia Training is an industrial team that will be bidding to become the Strategic Training Partner for the British Army’s Collective Training Transformation Programme (CTTP). The CTTP will deliver the Future Collective Training System (FCTS) – a technologyenabled training system that will serve as a surrogate for warfare. Climate neutrality by the year 2035: Rheinmetall contributes to reducing climate-damaging CO2 emissions with photovoltaics
The technology enterprise Rheinmetall AG has taken a further step on the path to achieving climate neutrality by 2035, its stated goal. Thanks to the Group’s strong commitment and the support of local authorities, last summer a large solar power plant was successfully installed on the roofs of factory halls at Rheinmetall subsidiary Pierburg SA in Abadanio, Spain. The 1,635 solar modules installed on the roof are now producing solar power. Annual output is expected to be in the region of 730,000 kWh. Der Technologiekonzern Rheinmetall ist einen weiteren Schritt auf dem Weg zur geplanten CO2-Neutralität im Jahr 2035 gegangen. Dank des Engagements des Konzerns und mit Unterstützung der lokalen Behörden konnte im Sommer dieses Jahres am Standort der Konzerntochter Pierburg SA in Abadanio, Spanien eine großflächige Solaranlage auf den Dächern der Werkshallen installiert werden. Insgesamt 1.635 Solarmodule, die auf den Dachflächen verbaut wurden, erzeugen nun seit kurzem Solarstrom. Gerechnet wird mit einem jährlich erzeugten Volumen von rund 730.000 kWh. Rheinmetall has won the coveted SPE Automotive Award 2022 with its globally unique fibreglass suspension spring. The innovative new component overcame the competition to take the Grand Innovation Award, a special category. The award ceremony took place in Neuss in mid-October.
