OHB and Rheinmetall have established the joint venture “OHB Rheinmetall Space Networks GmbH” in Bremen. The aim is to provide the Bundeswehr with a high-performance, secure and continuously available communications architecture within the framework of SATCOMBw Level 4. The new company was established to assume overall responsibility – from development and integra-tion through to delivery and operation, including IT security and a Cyber Operations Centre. The future system will connect soldiers, vehicles, platforms and unmanned systems, ensuring the secure transmission of voice, data and real-time information across all command levels. Dahinter steht das Ziel, der Bundeswehr im Zuge von SATCOMBw Stufe 4 eine leistungsfähige, geschützte und dauerhaft verfügbare Kommunikationsarchitektur zu liefern. Rheinmetall, ERC System und das Land Nordrhein-Westfalen haben im Rahmen der ILA Berlin 2026 eine strategische Partnerschaft geschlossen. Ziel ist es, die Grundlagen für die Produktion der Schwerlastdrohne Victor U250 in Nordrhein-Westfalen zu schaffen. Die Partner planen die Markteinführung der Victor U250-Drohne durch den Aufbau lokaler Produktions- und Lieferketten gemeinschaftlich voranzutreiben. Bei erfolgreicher Umsetzung werden relevante Hochtechnologien langfristig in Nordrhein-Westfalen und Deutschland gesichert.
