Success in Australia: Production Contract signed for 123 Boxer Heavy Weapon Carrier Vehicles from Australia to Germany
The Commonwealth of Australia has today signed the production contract for 123 Boxer Heavy Weapon Carrier vehicles with more than 100 of those vehicles to be exported from Australia for use by the German Army; making it Australia’s largest foreign military export to Germany. The procurement of the Heavy Weapon Carrier vehicles is based on a mutual agreement between the Australian and the German Government. Rheinmetall has announced the contract with the German authorities with a total volume of €2.7 billion, including maintenance and repair, after the commissioning in March 2024. Das Commonwealth of Australia hat Rheinmetall heute den Auftrag über die Produktion von 123 Gefechtsfahrzeugen „Schwerer Waffenträger Infanterie“ erteilt, von denen über 100 in Australien für die Bundeswehr gefertigt und nach Deutschland exportiert werden sollen. Es handelt sich hierbei um den größten militärischen Export Australiens an die Bundesrepublik Deutschland. Der Beschaffung des Schweren Waffenträgers Infanterie liegt ein Regierungsabkommen zwischen der deutschen Seite und Australien zugrunde. Rheinmetall hatte den Vertrag mit der deutschen Beschaffungsbehörde, der incl. Wartung und Instandsetzung ein Gesamtvolumen von 2,7 MrdEUR hat, nach der erfolgten Beauftragung im März 2024 gemeldet. Assistance for Ukraine unbroken: Rheinmetall delivers additional 20 Marder infantry fighting vehicles The German government comissioned Rheinmetall to deliver 20 additional Marder infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) to the Ukraine. The order was placed in March 2024 and has a value in the mid double-digit million Euro range. The delivery of this new lot is scheduled within 2024. So far, Rheinmetall has already handed over a three-digit number of Marder IFVs to the Ukrainian Armed Forces via direct deliveries and circular exchange programmes. Rheinmetall hat von der deutschen Bundesregierung den Auftrag erhalten, der Ukraine 20 weitere Schützenpanzer Marder zu liefern. Der Auftrag wurde im März 2024 erteilt und hat einen Wert im mittleren zweistelligen MioEUR-Bereich. Die Auslieferung dieses neuen Loses soll im Laufe des Jahres 2024 erfolgen. Bis heute hat Rheinmetall den ukrainischen Streitkräften über Direktlieferungen und Ringtauschprogramme bereits eine dreistellige Anzahl an Marder-Schützenpanzern übergeben. In die nun beauftragten Marder der Version 1A3 wurden zusätzlich Laserentfernungsmesser integriert, die eine effiziente und präzise Zielbekämpfung ermöglichen. Strong partner of the Spanish army: Rheinmetall supplies over 100,000 mortar rounds
Rheinmetall has received another order from the Spanish government in the higher double-digit million euro range. The Group is to supply the Spanish army with a total of 104,000 mortar rounds in 60mm, 81mm and 120mm calibres by the end of 2025. The framework agreement concluded in the first quarter of 2024 is already the second and includes an extension option for two additional years. The mortar rounds ordered will be used by the Spanish army’s infantry units, among others, in high explosive, smoke and illumination ammunition variants.
