ALLPLAN and Precast Software Engineering merge their Competences to Strengthen the Position in the Engineering and Construction Market

ALLPLAN, global provider of BIM solutions for the AEC industry, and Precast Software Engineering based in Salzburg, Austria, today announced that they join forces to strengthen their delivery capabilities in the engineering and construction market. Precast Software Engineering has been providing software solutions and services for the industrialized construction industry for three decades.

„This is an important milestone for ALLPLAN, which will extend the seamless BIM workflow from engineering to construction“, says Dr. Detlef Schneider, CEO of ALLPLAN. “Combining engineering and precast manufacturing competence will create a unique solution from architectural design through structural engineering to manufacturing and construction that supports the growing demand of lean and industrialized construction processes. This will foster the digitalization in the AEC industry significantly.”

One solution for designers and engineers

With its software PLANBAR and TIM, Precast Software Engineering offers a model-based precast element design and detailing solution for customers to plan and execute precast concrete projects efficiently, minimize errors and significantly improve quality and accuracy. The company has been in the market for over 30 years and serves customers worldwide. Adding its precast design solutions under the roof of ALLPLAN will create one solution for the engineering and construction market.

Since PLANBAR is already based on the Allplan platform, this directly opens up completely new possibilities. Architects, engineers and construction companies will be able to transfer BIM models to industrial production completely digitally, including connection to MES and ERP systems. Additionally, precast plants can build on existing BIM models from designers and integrate them directly into the production process. Customers also benefit from strategic developments of openBIM interfaces such as IFC4precast.

Strengthen Market Position in North Amercia and Asia

Industrial precast construction requires high quality design of precast concrete elements. Speed, efficiency and precision are decisive factors. Whether for industrial series production or complex precast elements – experts for precast construction require reliable software solutions for the delivery of automated design and data for precast fabrication. With this integration, ALLPLAN not only extends its solution offering in the engineering and construction market, but also strengthens its market position in North America and Asia.
