Tufftalk M: Hearing Protection and Communication Solution for Noisy Environments

Sena Industrial, the leader in advanced wireless communication solutions, introduces the new Tufftalk M headset, which incorporates Sena’s more than two decades of experience. The Tufftalk M is an effective hearing protector and, compared to its predecessor, the Tufftalk, offers Sena’s Mesh Intercom™ technology, thanks to which it is possible to use multiple channels for reliable and clear hands-free communication. Tufftalk M is available as an over-the head version as well as a hard hat version.

"Already with the original Tufftalk headset, we have managed to enter the industrial communications market in an industry-leading way," said Tae Kim, CEO of Sena Technologies, Inc. "With Tufftalk M, we are taking it a step further. It features our proprietary Mesh Intercom™ technology, which enables a simplified setup independent of local networks. We designed the Tufftalk M to better meet the working needs of teams in industrial work environments."

MESH INTERCOM™ COMMUNICATION FOR BETTER TEAM SUPPORT

The Tufftalk M headset features Sena’s proprietary Mesh Intercom™ technology, a self-optimizing and self-healing network that always looks for the best connection and unnoticeably searches for a new one as soon as a device is disconnected. Tufftalk M offers two different mesh modes – Open Mesh and Group Mesh. With Open Mesh, an almost unlimited number of users can be connected within an effective range of 1.1 km. Open Mesh mode also allows users to use 9 channels to efficiently stay in touch with the right team members. For private sessions, Group Mesh supports up to 24 participants. However, Tufftalk M also allows 4 other Bluetooth connections to connect to Sena’s Bluetooth-enabled devices, such as the original Tufftalk.

HEARING PROTECTION AND SAFER OPERATION IN HIGH NOISE ENVIRONMENTS

The Tufftalk M headset provides reliable hearing protection and enables fluid communication in loud, busy work environments. The headset, with its easy-to-use three-button design, is available in two versions, each with a corresponding noise reduction rate: The Tufftalk M as an earmuff offers noise reduction of 26 dB whereas the hard hat mount system offers noise reduction of 24 dB.

FULL-DUPLEX TECHNOLOGY DELIVERS HANDS-FREE COMMUNICATION

Worksites need communication lines open for safety reasons. The ability to respond without having to press a button is crucial, especially for people working with heavy equipment. Tufftalk M helps with these issues by utilizing full-duplex technology, a system that allows people to talk hands-free. Crews can easily communicate and keep their hands free of any distractions while working.

SMARTPHONE APP FOR SIMPLE DEVICE CONFIGURATION

The Tufftalk M can be connected to the Sena Utility App for direct access to the configuration menu. Settings such as turning on mesh intercom, changing channel frequencies, or setting up speed dial options can be changed. In addition, Tufftalk M can also connect via Bluetooth to a smartphone allowing users to listen to music or even take a phone call.

AVAILABILITY

Both the Over-the-Head version and the Hard Hat mount system of the Tufftalk M, like all Sena products, come with a two-year warranty and are available for 529.00 EUR from www.Sena-Industrial.eu.
