Hybrid X – Exolon Group has launched new type of polycarbonate multiwall sheet

Stronger, more flexible, more sustainable: With Exolon® multi UV Hybrid X, the Exolon Group has launched a completely new type of multiwall sheet on the market.

Hybrid X is the result of several years of research and development work. The new geometry is a complex combination of walls and air chambers, making it an all-rounder with high energy-saving potential. It offers excellent thermal insulation and improved light diffusion, and also has strong mechanical properties with optimized weight.

Daylight in a new dimension

Its innovative geometry makes it possible to bring even more daylight into interior spaces at a constant temperature. The 10 to 20% stronger interior walls in the structure, with the same weight per unit area, result in improved mechanical properties. This provides greater safety, allowing for larger spans and lighter beams.

Due to its unique design, the Hybrid X multiwall sheet has the lowest heat transfer coefficient (Ug) of all sheet thicknesses currently available on the market. This results in energy savings of more than 30% compared to conventional standard sheets. This means a saving of around three litres of heating oil or 2.5 cubic metres of natural gas, per square metre per year.

There is also a solution for high levels of sunlight. The translucent plates in the IQ-Relax version dramatically reduce heat on sunny days while at the same time providing a high level of light transmission.

Hybrid-X is suitable for all private and industrial applications where high thermal insulation is required: The sheet material meets all quality standards in terms of fire protection (international) with a CE mark in accordance with EN 16153, and DIN ISO 9001 for quality management. The Exolon Group also guarantees ten years of weather and hail resistance.
