A Tree Tells the Story of Berlin-Wedding

Installed at a school in Berlin-Wedding, the sculpture is a new addition to the city’s public art landscape. “The Mapquilt Tree” reflects the urban structure of Berlin’s Wedding district, reimagining it as a stylised tree canopy. Ein Baum erzählt vom Wedding
Für das Kunstprojekt „The Mapquilt Tree“ der Künstlerin Stephanie Imbeau kamen Polycarbonat-Massivplatten der Exolon Group zum Einsatz. Die Skulptur wurde an einer Schule in Berlin-Wedding installiert und ergänzt dort die Kunst im öffentlichen Raum. „The Mapquilt Tree“ greift die Struktur des Berliner Ortsteils Wedding auf und übersetzt sie in die Form einer stilisierten Baumkrone.
