MOTEG GmbH focuses on sustainable growth with its new co-owner

Since its establishment by experienced e-motor specialist Dr. Siegfried Götz in 2014, MOTEG GmbH of Handewitt in Schleswig-Holstein has been developing and manufacturing innovative electrical drives, which are characterized above all by high efficiency with low weight, small dimensions, low noise emission, and increased cost-effectiveness. The diverse and continuously growing range of electric drives for supply units is currently aimed primarily at customers in the automotive and aviation sectors. In addition, the company has been focusing for several years on the development and production of auxiliary units for electric commercial vehicles, such as buses and trucks, as well as construction and agricultural machinery.

In order to expand its own production capacities in the long term and thus realize the company’s vision of becoming a leading supplier of technology for electric motors in mobile applications and auxiliary units for electric commercial vehicles in a steadily growing market, MOTEG GmbH has now succeeded in winning a strong partner in HN Holding.

Owner-managed HN Holding GmbH from Schwerin, which is active in various industries and market segments, has sufficient production space, including the necessary infrastructure, in the field of mobile hydraulics, which is particularly relevant to the work of MOTEG GmbH. HN Holding thereby presents itself as an excellent partner for the future industrialization of MOTEG GmbH as well as for the envisaged expansion of its production capacities.

“In the last few years, we have already prepared ourselves strategically for the growing demand in the area of e-mobility and have been able to build up and expand our expertise with more than 50 customers in the area of electric commercial vehicles”, explains Dr. Siegfried Götz. “Thanks to the involvement of HN Holding, we are now wellpositioned for further growth, both financially and in terms of the necessary infrastructure.”

Together with its new co-partner, MOTEG GmbH intends to achieve its ambitious goals by expanding its portfolio in the field of electric motors, among other things. The current range of models between 3 and 30 kW is therefore to be expanded to include further models in the performance range up to 100 kW, thus opening up new areas of application. The electric auxiliaries segment is also to be expanded at the same time, with further development in the area of air compressors and electro-hydraulics.

“Together with the HN Holding consortium, we intend to make a significant contribution to the electrification of the commercial vehicle sector, both on- and off-road”, emphasizes Dr. Götz. In this way, we can make an important contribution to CO2-neutral mobility and thus to achieving the global climate targets.”
