Multiwall sheets: perfect insulation for a comfortable climate

The Exolon Group is expanding its range of highly heat-insulating polycarbonate multiwall sheets. Exolon® multi UV Hybrid-X (HX) is now also available in a sheet thickness of 50 mm and completes the HX multiwall sheet family, which is already successfully represented on the market with 25, 32 and 40 mm thicknesses. The unique HX structure enables maximum insulation whilst reducing energy consumption.

The sheet thickness not only means improved thermal insulation with a very good Ug value of 0.85 W/m 2 K, but also extends the application possibilities of the multiwall sheet due to its good load bearing. The material is lightweight, impact resistant and easy to work with.

Exolon® multi UV HX/50-32 is particularly suited to flat glazing, such as in conservatories, industrial glazing, sports halls, skylights and continuous rooflights as well as roofs and wall cladding (facades). The sheets are equipped with a UV-protective layer applied using the co-extrusion process, homogeneously bonded to the sheet material.

About a year ago, the Exolon Group successfully launched the new Hybrid-X multiwall sheet type on the market. The X structure (patent pending) is the result of several years of research and development work. The complex combination of walls and air chambers maximises thermal insulation, light transmission and mechanics without adding weight. This high-performance combination helps it boost the sustainability of daylight systems.
