MCTX becomes new distribution partner of SECO

SECO and MCTX agree on a sales partnership focusing on the Computer-on-Modules product portfolio of the SECO Group. Within the framework of the partnership, MCTX and SECO will cooperate in the sale of embedded computing products and in the implementation of customer-specific solutions. In addition, MCTX will support SECO’s OEM customers with design services and technical know-how.

MCTX Mobile & Embedded Computers GmbH, based in Gottenheim near Freiburg, Germany, is a full-service provider for Computer-On-Modules, offering not only x86 and Arm®-based CPU modules but also the development and implementation of customised system requirements. The company has dedicated engineering and project management expertise in this area, as well as supply chain and lifecycle management know-how. MCTX’s portfolio includes technology consulting, supply of key components and extends to the development and delivery of complete system solutions tailored to the customer’s needs.

The cooperation is intended to increasingly address customers who require further services in addition to the CPU platform. With the agreement MCTX is expanding its portfolio to include the latest technology from SECO, thus extending its existing product portfolio in the area of Computer-On-Modules, single-board computers and HMI solutions. Another advantage is the local proximity to customers as well as the direct communication to SECO’s modern European production facilities in Arezzo, Italy, and at the German sites in Hamburg and Wuppertal. In the future, this will lift a multitude of synergy effects in the joint implementation of OEM projects.

"The cooperation with MCTX creates great benefit for our customers, especially because of the MCTX team’s many years of experience in the integration of x86-based computer modules and particularly also in the area of Arm®-based application processors," says Dirk Finstel, CEO of SECO Northern Europe.

"SECO’s easy-to-integrate CPU modules offer the latest CPU platforms with long-term availability on standardised form factors, enabling short time-to-market cycles, scalability and easy product maintenance.", explains Thomas Hagios, CEO of MCTX, and adds that "the focus on production sites in Europe ideally fits the requirements of our OEM customers, as high flexibility, reliable supply chains and second source strategies are important criteria for them."
