Performance beyond traditional 38999 type with 3 locking modes

Designed for military and security applications, the ODU AMC® Series T offers three compatible locking options: Push-Pull, Break-Away and Thread-Lock on one device part. Locking requirements vary depending on the situation. Thread-Lock screw locking is particularly suitable for applications that have to deal with extremely strong vibrations. The Break-Away mechanism plug-in connection is designed to release the connection with manual force, allowing quick and easy disconnection in critical situations. The push-pull mechanism reliably locks into the device part and the ball-lock system provides additional support, ensuring interference-free data transmission.

The ODU AMC® Series T is designed to allow emergency personnel to quickly and easily clean the connectors and replace interfaces, even in the field under extreme conditions and stress. Five-finger and color coding prevents mismating. Different transmission variants can be individually configured even in the smallest installation space. The robust housings are waterproof up to IP6K9K with submersibility up to 20 m for a duration of 2 hours.

The ODU AMC® Series T meets the requirements of MIL Standard 38999 and also offers additional advantages. The connectors are certified to MIL-STD-1472 and MIL-STD-810 and can meet requirements for temperature extremes from -65° to +175° C or severe vibration.

In light of geopolitical tensions and the changing security situation worldwide, attention to the military and defense industry has increased significantly in recent years. Advances in technology and the need to protect against modern threats have led to an increased focus on innovation and resource investment in the military and defense industry.

These dynamics require robust and versatile military equipment capable of adapting to evolving threats and providing effective deterrence.

Robust under high loads and extreme temperatures, resistant to dust, water and vibration, that’s what ODU’s connector systems stand for. Optimized for demanding applications and transmission reliability even in the most technically challenging environments. The enormously high requirements for high-speed data technology and high-frequency transmission have been adapted to the application and environmental conditions to which the user and the device are exposed.
