Uranium provides energy, while copper is necessary for electromobility and digitalization. On the supply side, production forecasts for copper vary. In any case, only a slight increase in supply is to be expected. On the demand side, copper is irreplaceable in the mobility industry and for all types of electrification.

Modern electric cars contain around 80 to 100 kilograms of copper. Hybrid cars also require large amounts of copper. In contrast, only around 23 kilograms of copper are used in a conventional vehicle. Charging stations, power grids, and public transport vehicles are equipped with copper cables and motors.

Uranium is the material used for nuclear energy, which provides electricity for charging stations and electric mobility applications in a safe, environmentally friendly, and weather-independent manner. Uranium also powers vehicles that do not immediately come to mind, such as icebreakers. Nuclear energy has also been used in space travel for decades. In 1965, a satellite equipped with a small nuclear reactor was launched into space, albeit with little success at the time. Nuclear energy has a wide range of applications in industry, medicine (diagnosis and treatment of diseases), and agriculture (improved production and pest control).

Copper and uranium are dependent on certain producing countries, and bottlenecks are easily possible. Investors can bet on these raw materials with various mining companies.

Uranium Royalty https://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/uranium-royalty-corp/ – stands out as the only royalty company on the uranium market. This gives investors unique diversification in the uranium sector.

U.S. GoldMining https://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/us-goldmining-inc/ – owns the Whistler project in Alaska, which is home to large gold and copper resources and is extremely promising. The local government strongly supports the mining sector.
