Data4Life and Remedi partner to develop an integrated, portable X-ray imaging solution paired with mobile point-of-care data collection, enabling decentralized clinical workflows

Data4Life, a nonprofit digital health software developer, and Remedi Inc., a medical technology company specializing in portable diagnostic imaging systems, announce a strategic partnership to integrate Remedi’s ultra-compact, low-dose, high-resolution X-ray solutions with Data4Life’s standardized clinical data collection and analysis platform.

Remedi’s patented solutions are based on core technology validated by NASA and global institutions, creating new markets in areas where X-ray use was previously limited.

Platform integration and technical approach

The partnership brings together Remedi’s portable, battery-powered digital X-ray hardware and Rena’ssant initiative with Data4Life’s D4L Collect and Data2Evidence software solutions.

Point-of-care chest X-ray images will be linked to patient intake records and routed to the radiologist’s review portal. The workflow is designed to support integration with leading computer-aided detection (CAD) technologies used for TB screening and triage.

Confirmed and presumptive TB patients will be enrolled into a digital longitudinal patient registry that captures WHO-mandated data points, including treatment regimen, adherence, patient-reported outcomes, and treatment outcomes. The objective is to support follow-up from initial screening through treatment completion while enabling the generation of high-quality real-world data and evidence.

To ensure global interoperability, data collected in this collaboration will be standardized to the OMOP Common Data Model via Data4Life’s Data2Evidence platform and managed under a federated architecture, protecting data privacy at the source.
