Martinsried bekommt Start-up-Inkubator Munich Accelerator Life Sciences & Medicine (MAxL)
Das Bayerische Wirtschaftsministerium fördert den Aufbau des Munich Accelerator Life Sciences & Medicine (MAxL) in München-Martinsried mit 8,5 Mio. Euro. Das Projekt für eine neue bayerische Inkubator-Infrastruktur für Pre-Seed Projekte und frühe Start-ups im Biotech- und Healthtech Bereich wird von der BioM Biotech Cluster Development GmbH geleitet. Bayern hat sich innerhalb der letzten 25 Jahre zu einem herausragenden Start-up-Ökosystem für die Biotechnologie entwickelt. The Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs is funding the formation of the Munich Accelerator Life Sciences & Medicine (MAxL) in Munich-Martinsried with 8.5 million euros. The project for a new Bavarian incubator infrastructure for pre-seed projects and early-stage start-ups in the biotech and healthtech sector is managed by BioM Biotech Cluster Development GmbH. Bavaria has evolved into an outstanding start-up ecosystem for biotechnology within the last 25 years. Beim traditionellen BioM Jahresabschluss-Dinner blickte Gastgeber Prof. Horst Domdey diesmal nicht nur auf ein ereignisreiches Jahr für die Biotechnologie- und Pharmabranche zurück, sondern auf ein Vierteljahrhundert als Geschäftsführer von BioM. As part of this year’s BioTech Bootcamp of BioM Biotech Cluster GmbH and the life science business incubator "SmiLe Incubator" from Lund, Sweden, the international, eight-week training program for prospective founders and young companies climaxed in the Munich “Demo Week”. Ten teams, aiming to develop and commercialize their biotech business idea, showed on the Martinsried / Großhadern campus what they had learned in eight weeks and presented their start-up on the final "Demo Day". Osaka and Munich continue their successful partnership
The cluster management organizations BioM, Munich, Germany, and Osaka Bio Headquarters, Osaka, Japan, officially announced the renewal of their long-standing Transnational Biotech & Life Sciences Cooperation Partnership Agreement at the EU-Japan Biotech & Pharma Partnering Conference 2022 in Osaka. Considering the numerous deals and long-term partnerships between Bavarian biotech companies and Japanese pharmaceutical companies, it reveals that Japan is almost as attractive for the regional sector as the pharmaceutical industry in the USA.
