GEDA in the city of three rivers
The Buchner House, one of Passau’s most famous buildings, is being given a new lease of life. Built in 1877, the yellow corner building on Ludwigsplatz shaped the cityscape of the three-river city for decades. Due to its dilapidated condition, the building was demolished in 2023. A new mixed-use building has now been constructed on the same site, with an architectural design based on its historic predecessor Bulky drywall panels, washbasins for bathrooms and kitchens, and pallets laden with bricks weighing several tonnes – all these materials were transported safely, cleanly and almost effortlessly floor by floor up to the fifth storey during the construction phase. GEDA in der Drei-Flüsse-Stadt
Mit dem „Buchner Haus“ erwacht eines der bekanntesten Gebäude Passaus zu neuem Leben. Das 1877 errichtete gelbe Eckhaus am Ludwigsplatz prägte über Jahrzehnte das Stadtbild der Drei-Flüsse-Stadt. Aufgrund seiner baufälligen Substanz wurde das Gebäude 2023 abgebrochen. An gleicher Stelle ist nun ein mischgenutzter Neubau, der sich architektonisch am historischen Vorgänger orientiert, entstanden. Sperrige Trockenbauwände, Waschbecken für Bad und Küche oder Paletten mit tonnenschweren Ziegelsteinen – all diese Materialien „schwebten“ während der Bauphase sicher, sauber und nahezu mühelos Stockwerk für Stockwerk bis in die fünfte Etage. Originally built as a watchtower in the 10th century and rebuilt several times over the centuries, the approximately 70-metre-high tower is now a symbol of Augsburg’s history and a proud part of the historic city ensemble surrounding the town hall. To ensure that this imposing building continues to shine in all its glory, extensive renovation work is currently being carried out. 27 neue Haltestellen bringen Tempo bei den Bauarbeiten am Perlachturm Augsburg
Mitten in Augsburg, direkt am Rathausplatz, erhebt sich eines der bekanntesten Wahrzeichen der Stadt – der Perlachturm. Ursprünglich im 10. Jahrhundert als Wachturm errichtet und im Laufe der Jahrhunderte mehrfach umgebaut, ist der rund 70 Meter hohe Turm heute ein Symbol Augsburger Geschichte und stolzer Teil des historischen Stadtensembles rund um das Rathaus. Damit das imposante Bauwerk auch weiterhin im vollen Glanz erstrahlt, werden derzeit umfassende Sanierungsarbeiten durchgeführt. Im Zuge der Arbeiten wurde unter anderem die rund zehn Tonnen schwere Kupferkuppel des Turms vollständig abgetragen und vor dem Rathaus zwischengelagert. But German engineering and technology are also currently being put to use: on a large-scale construction site, a transport platform from the Bavarian hoist manufacturer GEDA GmbH is ensuring efficient processes.
