Krones today held a Capital Market Day for analysts and investors The Executive Board explained the company’s strategy and presented its medium-term targets Consolidated revenue is set to increase to €7 billion by 2028 (2023: €4.7 billion). The medium-term target for the EBITDA margin is between 11% and 13% (2023: 9.7%). Krones is aiming for ROCE of more than 20% by 2028 (2023: 16.3%). On 1 July 2024, Krones Recycling GmbH, under the management of Dr Michael Gotsche, commenced business operations with headquarters in Flensburg. At Adelholzener Alpenquellen, seven out of eight production lines with Krones technology ensure the highest standards of hygiene. The returnable glass container line installed in 2020 will be supplemented in 2025 by a further line for filling non-returnable containers. In beverage bottling plants, the process of closing the containers constitutes a point of crucial importance for the product’s overall quality. Until now, quality-assurance solutions have used a combination of the reflected- and transmitted-light methods, but that requires quite an elaborate set-up. The Republic Services Polymer Center is the first plant of its kind in North America. Following its successful commissioning at the end of 2023, the final acceptance of Krones Recycling’s plant for PET and polyolefins has now taken place. Krones continues profitable growth path
At €1,482.7 million, the contract value of orders in the first quarter of 2024 was close to the very high level seen in the previous year (€1,513.1 million) and, with an increase of 17.4%, significantly higher than the order intake in the fourth quarter of 2023 (€1,263.0 million). Krones’ growth is fully on track. Revenue increased by 4.0% to €1,247.1 million. Krones has consolidated the revenue of the recently acquired Netstal Maschinen AG only since 28 March 2024.
