Krones increases high-viscous food capabilities with minority investment in Perfinox
On April 16th 2024, Krones has signed agreements leading to the acquisition of a 45% equity stake in Perfinox Industria Metalurgica S.A. (Perfinox). Based near Porto (Portugal), Perfinox is providing solutions for the preparation & preservation of high viscous food products such as hummus, ketchup, condiments and vegan food innovations. The applications include solutions for mixing, cooking and emulsification as well as pasteurization by using scraped surface heat exchangers. Perfinox’s expertise in the viscous food category will further strengthen Krones’ diversification & resilience in the Process Technology segment. Krones plans to pay dividend of €2.20 per share for successful 2023 financial year
Today Krones published its Annual Report 2023 and confirmed its preliminary figures. At the Annual General Meeting for 2023, the Executive Board and Supervisory Board will propose a dividend of €2.20 per share, an increase of 25.7% on the previous year (2022: €1.75 per share). Krones will continue its profitable growth in 2024. For the Group, the Executive Board forecasts revenue growth of 9% to 13% with an improved EBITDA margin of 9.8% to 10.3% and ROCE of 17% to 19%. Krones hat heute den Geschäftsbericht 2023 veröffentlicht und bestätigt die Vorabzahlen. Vorstand und Aufsichtsrat schlagen der Hauptversammlung für das Jahr 2023 eine im Vergleich zum Vorjahr um 25,7 % höhere Dividende von 2,20 Euro je Aktie vor (2022: 1,75 Euro je Aktie). Profitables Wachstum von Krones wird sich 2024 fortsetzen. Der Vorstand prognostiziert für den Konzern ein Umsatzwachstum von 9 % bis 13 % bei einer verbesserten EBITDA-Marge von 9,8 % bis 10,3 % und einem ROCE von 17 % bis 19 %. Krones is close to sign an agreement regarding the acquisition of 100% of Netstal Maschinen AG (Netstal) from KraussMaffei. Based in Naefels, Switzerland, Netstal is a leading supplier of injection molding machines to the beverage market (PET preforms and caps) as well as to the medical and thin-wall packaging market. Erster Meilenstein im Entwicklungsprojekt Phoenix BMC
Im Wesentlichen besteht Phoenix BMC aus drei Prozesseinheiten, mit denen die verschiedenen Brau-Reststoffe aufbereitet werden. Dabei werden Protein-Hydrolysat und Mineraldünger aus den Reststoffen abgetrennt, bevor dann Biogas erzeugt wird. Sein Entwicklungsprojekt testet Steinecker seit Anfang 2023 in der bayerischen Brauerei Ustersbach. Nun wurde das erste Modul zur Eiweißgewinnung, in dem aus Treber und Hefe ein Protein-Hydrolysat gewonnen wird, in Betrieb genommen. „Manche der dafür installierten Anlagenteile – eine Kolloidmühle sowie einen Membranfilter für Maische – waren für uns als Brauer neu. First milestone reached in Phoenix BMC development project
At its core, Phoenix BMC consists of three units for processing the various brewing residuals. Protein hydrolysate and mineral fertiliser are separated out before biogas is derived from what is left. Steinecker has been testing this development project since early 2023 at Ustersbacher Brewery in Bavaria, Germany.
