Rheinmetall liefert 35mm-Munition an NATO-Kunden – Auftragswert rund 20 Millionen Euro
Rheinmetall ist von mehreren NATO-Kunden mit der Lieferung von Munition im Kaliber 35mm beauftragt worden. Die Auslieferungen erfolgen in den Jahren 2023 und 2024. Der Auftragswert liegt insgesamt bei rund 20 MioEUR. Zwischen 2023 und 2024 wird Rheinmetall den Kundenländern verschiedene Munitionstypen im Kaliber 35mm x 228 für Schützenpanzer liefern. Rheinmetall arbeitet kontinuierlich mit den Nutzerstaaten zusammen, um die Kampfkraft des Systems weiterzuentwickeln. Rheinmetall continues to expand its position as a leading systems supplier for 40mm weapon and ammunition systems. The Group’s South African subsidiary Rheinmetall Denel Munition has been awarded a framework contract by the Spanish armed forces for the supply of 40mm ammunition. Rheinmetall’s subsidiary American Rheinmetall Munition (Stafford, VA) has been awarded a $2.5M contract from the U.S. Army for the delivery of a shorter and lighter artillery weapon system in support of the National Defense Strategy. Joint venture between high-tech Rheinmetall AG and DEMALOG, Germany’s biggest biometrics company
The technology enterprise Rheinmetall AG and DERMALOG Identification Systems GmbH, Germany’s largest biometrics firm, have contractually agreed to set up a joint venture. The new company, Rheinmetall Dermalog SensorTec GmbH, should begin operating in early summer 2022. Rheinmetall will hold a 65% stake in the partnership, with DERMALOG accounting for the remaining 35% share. Creation of the company still requires approval by the merger control authorities. The strategic objective is to integrate biometric technology, artificial intelligence software, and digitization solutions in three different areas: driver monitoring, security, and industry.
