The German Bundeswehr has contracted with the new Rheinmetall subsidiary Zeppelin Mobile Systeme GmbH (ZMS) to supply and integrate state-of-the-art medical technology for the field hospital at Camp Castor, the Bundeswehr’s forward operating base in Gao, Mali. In all, the order is worth a figure in the lower two-digit million-euro range. The material will be furnished in the second half of the year, with integration slated to take place at the end of 2022 on location in Mali. Die Bundeswehr hat das noch junge Rheinmetall-Tochterunternehmen Zeppelin Mobile Systeme GmbH (ZMS) mit der Bereitstellung und Integration modernster Medizintechnik in die sanitätsdienstliche Versorgungeinrichtung des Bundeswehr-Feldlagers „Camp Castor“ in Gao, Mali beauftragt. The Bundeswehr has contracted with Rheinmetall to look after, maintain and repair Germany’s Sikorsky CH-53G transport helicopters at two additional bases. Starting in March 2022, the company has been supporting the German Air Force at Laupheim in Baden-Württemberg and Holzdorf-Schönewalde on the border of Saxony-Anhalt and Brandenburg, conducting pre-flight inspections and operating a total of three service bays for partial work phases at the 64th Helicopter Squadron. Auftrag ausgeweitet: Rheinmetall unterstützt die Luftwaffe bei der Betreuung und Wartung des Transporthubschraubers CH-53G an allen Standorten
Rheinmetall ist von der Bundeswehr an weiteren Standorten mit der Betreuung, Wartung und Instandhaltung von Transporthubschraubern des Typs Sikorsky CH-53G beauftragt worden. Seit März 2022 unterstützt das Unternehmen die Luftwaffe an den Standorten Laupheim sowie Holzdorf-Schönewalde mit der Durchführung von Flugdienstinspektionen sowie dem Betrieb von insgesamt drei Instandhaltungs-Docks für Teilphasen beim Hubschraubergeschwader 64. Der Vertrag mit der Rheinmetall Aviation Services GmbH läuft in zwei Losen zunächst über drei Jahre. Der Auftragswert liegt im niedrigen zweistelligen MioEUR-Bereich. MBDA Italia and Rheinmetall Italia have signed a memorandum of understanding to explore possibilities for collaborating in the area of air defence including disruptive technologies and in the national and European defence funds domain.
