Rheinmetall and Intracom Defense of Greece have agreed to cooperate closely in the field of vehicle-based C4I systems. The two companies will coordinate their activities for joint development and marketing of a vehicle-based C4I system to jointly address the needs of their domestic and international markets. Rheinmetall and Thales to continue taking care of Tiger helicopter simulators in France and Germany
Together with its partner Thales, Rheinmetall will continue to look after the helicopter simulators used for training crews of the Tiger attack helicopter. In summer 2021, a contract to this effect was awarded through OCCAR, the European procurement organization. This integrated service support contract, which for Rheinmetall represents sales in the low double-digit million-euro range, runs from 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2025. Under the terms of the contract, Rheinmetall and Thales will now be taking care of a total of twenty modern Tiger simulators at bases in Le Luc, Fritzlar, Pau and Phalsbourg, as well as providing service and maintenance support. Gemeinsam mit seinem Partner Thales wird Rheinmetall die Helikoptersimulatoren zur Ausbildung der Besatzungen des Kampfhubschraubers Tiger weiterhin betreuen. Ein entsprechender Auftrag seitens der europäischen Rüstungsagentur OCCAR wurde im Sommer 2021 gebucht. Mit dem einsatzbewährten 6×6-Fahrzeug als Hochdach lassen sich eine Vielzahl von funktionalen Fähigkeiten im gesamten Einsatzspektrum umsetzen. Das hochmobile Fahrzeugsystem ist in dieser Version vom Gefechtsstandfahrzeug bis hin zum geschützten Sanitätskraftfahrzeug einsetzbar. Rheinmetall präsentiert den Demonstrator in der Konfiguration als geschütztes Sanitätskraftfahrzeug vom 14.-15. Oktober 2021 auf dem Kongress der Gesellschaft für Wehrmedizin und Wehrpharmazie in der Rhein-Mosel-Halle in Koblenz.
