Rheinmetall modernisiert weitere 27 Boxer-Führungsfahrzeuge der Bundeswehr
Rheinmetall bringt weitere 27 Boxer-Führungsfahrzeuge der Bundeswehr auf den modernsten Rüststand A2. Ein entsprechender Auftrag wurde Ende Januar 2021 vom Bundesamt für Ausrüstung, Informationstechnik und Nutzung der Bundeswehr (BAAINBw) erteilt. Die 27 Fahrzeuge werden durch die Rheinmetall Landsysteme GmbH am Standort Kassel, dem Kompetenzzentrum für taktische Radfahrzeuge der Vehicle Systems Division im Rheinmetall Konzern, modernisiert. Planmäßig sollen die Arbeiten im März 2021 beginnen; die Auslieferungen sind zwischen 2022 und 2024 geplant. Der Auftragswert für Rheinmetall liegt im niedrigen zweistelligen MioEUR-Bereich. Rheinmetall Canada erhält Wartungsvertrag für Überwachungssystem PSS der kanadischen Streitkräfte
Die kanadische Regierung hat Rheinmetall mit der Wartung des Überwachungssystems Persistant Surveillance System (PSS) beauftragt. Die Vertragslaufzeit begann im Januar 2021 und dauert bis Ende Dezember 2021. Danach sind jährliche Vertragsverlängerungen möglich. In seiner Eigenschaft als Generalunternehmer leistet Rheinmetall Canada Inc., Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu/Québec, Reparatur- und Wartungsarbeiten für die derzeit acht PSS-Ausstattungen, welche bei den kanadischen Streitkräften in Nutzung sind. Ein PSS besteht aus ballon- und turmgestützten Sensoren, welche mit einer Bodenstation verbunden sind. Rheinmetall Canada awarded sustainment contract for Persistent Surveillance System
The Canadian government awarded Rheinmetall Canada a sustainment contract for the Persistent Surveillance System, or PSS. Starting in 2021, this contract runs for one year, with potential additional annual extensions. In its capacity as prime contractor, Rheinmetall Canada Inc, headquartered in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Québec, will provide repair and overhaul services for the eight PSS units currently in use by the Canadian Armed Forces. The PSS consists of aerostat- and tower-based sensors that are connected to a ground station. NATO customer awards Rheinmetall multimillion-euro contract for artillery ammunition and propelling charges
A NATO customer has awarded Rheinmetall an order for modern artillery ammunition. The Group’s South African subsidiary, Rheinmetall Denel Munition (Pty) Ltd., will supply several thousand conventional and extended-range artillery shells of the Assegai family (Base Bleed and V-LAP) as well as M92 Assegai tactical modular charges. Delivery commenced in December 2020 and is to be complete by May 2021. The order is worth around €25 million. Manufactured by Rheinmetall Denel Munition, the tactical modular charges of the Assegai Series are intended to propel artillery shells from 155mm gun systems.
