This year, Earth Overload Day fell on the fourth of May. The supply of natural resources for the current year is being used up earlier and earlier. Auch Gold und Silber ziehen nach der Zinserhöhung an! Geht es jetzt wieder los?
Zugegeben, mit ihrer Zinserhöhung hat die US-Notenbank vermutlich niemanden mehr wirklich überrascht. Aber die klaren Worte des Notenbankchefs kamen überraschend, und vor allem überraschend gut an! Nach dem ersten Zinsschritt im März von 0,25 % wurde gestern mit einem großen Zinsschritt von 0,5 % nachgelegt. Damit wurden die Zinsen auf eine Spanne von 0,75 % bis 1 % erhöht. Begründet wurde der große Schritt mit der ausufernden Inflation und dem schnellstmöglichen Abbau der durch die Corona-Krise aufgeblähten Bilanz.
