Kaufprämien für Elektroautos existieren beispielsweise in Deutschland, Japan, China oder Frankreich. Manch anderes Land hat die Steuern gesenkt, so etwa die USA oder Norwegen. Verbaut sind in diesen Fahrzeugen vor allem Lithium-Ionen-Batterien. Von 2010 bis 2021 haben sich die Verkaufszahlen (Plug-in Hybride, Fahrzeuge mit Brennstoffzellen, rein batteriebetriebene Fahrzeuge) mehr als verzehnfacht. Gab es hierzulande im Jahr 2010 noch knapp 6.000 verkaufte Fahrzeuge, waren es 2021 bereits gut 750.000 Stück. Damit rückt Deutschland an den vierten Platz weltweit. Goldman Sachs prognostiziert in einem Jahr einen Kupferpreis von 11.000 US-Dollar je Tonne. Dies lässt aufhorchen. Silver may have reached the peak in mine production
Similar to gold, not enough silver is currently mined to meet annual demand. These calculations do not include recycling. In 2021, demand for silver was 1049 million ounces. Mined were 997.2 million ounces. According to the Silver Institute forecasts, the current year will bring record demand for the precious metal, which is also called the little brother of gold.
