TÜV SÜD Product Service has been registered in the EU’s NANDO database as a Notified Body for conformity assessments in compliance with the EU’s Radio Equipment Directive. Starting from August 2023, the international service provider’s scope has been expanded to include conformity assessment in accordance with cyber security regulations. Manufacturers can refer to the database to find organisations authorised to conduct the necessary tests and certifications. Product conformity is a mandatory requirement for placing radio equipment on the EU market. TÜV SÜD certifies TUM Hyperloop Demonstrator
In Ottobrunn near Munich, the Technical University of Munich (TUM) has started operation of Europe’s first functioning hyperloop segment including the associated passenger pod. TÜV SÜD has issued the certification for the first tube segment and the pod on the basis of the world’s first guideline for hyperloop technologies. “Hyperloop” is the umbrella term for innovative high-speed passenger and goods transportation systems. The concept envisages electrically powered transport pods that are propelled at travel speeds of over 800 km/h within sealed vacuum tubes. In Ottobrunn bei München hat die Technische Universität München (TUM) das erste funktionsfähige Hyperloop-Segment mit zugehöriger Passagierkapsel in Europa in Betrieb genommen. TÜV SÜD hat das erste Segment der Teströhre und die Kapsel auf Basis der ersten Guideline für Hyperloop-Technologien zertifiziert. Hyperloop ist der Überbegriff für innovative Hochgeschwindigkeitstransportsysteme zum Transport von Passagieren und Gütern. Dafür sollen elektrisch betriebene Transportkapseln in Vakuumröhren auf Reisegeschwindigkeiten von über 800 Stundenkilometern beschleunigt werden. Nach der erfolgreichen Teilnahme von Studierenden der Technischen Universität München (TUM) an mehreren internationalen Wettbewerben wurde das Forschungsprogramm TUM Hyperloop gegründet, das mit dem Bau des Hyperloop Demonstrators im Oktober 2022 in die Realisierungsphase gestartet ist. The company can thus now perform these certification activities in accordance with the Global Recycled Standard (GRS) and the Recycled Claim Standard (RCS). The clothing and textile industries use this certification to prove that they are increasing the recycled content in their products and thereby saving resources, while considering both social and environmental factors throughout the value chain.
