Jean Castex, French Prime Minister inaugurated today the new Center for Innovation in Extractive Metallurgy (CIME) of Orano on the Bessines-sur-Gartempe site in the New Aquitaine region in the presence of the Minister Delegate for Transport Jean-Baptiste Djebbari and many representatives of the region. Les électriciens allemands PreussenElektra, RWE, ENBW et Vattenfall ont signé un ensemble de contrats avec Orano pour un montant total de plus de 1 milliard d’euros concernant le retour de l’intégralité des déchets nucléaires allemands encore entreposés au sein de l’usine Orano la Hague. Les discussions concernant les modalités de ces contrats ont été menées avec le soutien des autorités des deux pays. Ces contrats constituent également le solde de la totalité des engagements pris par le passé au titre des déchets des électriciens allemands. Signature of German nuclear waste contracts lead to improved 2021 financial outlook
The German utility companies PreussenElektra, RWE, ENBW and Vattenfall have signed a set of contracts with Orano for a total amount in excess of 1 billion euros, for the return of all the German nuclear waste still stored at the Orano la Hague plant. Discussions on the contractual terms and conditions of these contracts have been conducted with the support of the authorities of both countries. L’autorité de sûreté finlandaise autorise le chargement du combustible de l’EPR d’OLKILUOTO
TVO a annoncé aujourd’hui avoir obtenu de l’autorité de sûreté finlandaise (STUK) l’autorisation de chargement du combustible de l’EPR d’OLKILUOTO 3. Le chargement du combustible démarrera donc avant la fin du mois de mars 2021 comme annoncé le 28 août dernier. Finnish nuclear safety authority approves fuel loading for OLKILUOTO EPR
. TVO today announced that it has obtained approval from the Finnish nuclear safety authority (STUK) for loading fuel into the OLKILUOTO 3 EPR nuclear reactor. Fuel loading will therefore start before the end of March 2021 as announced on 28 August last. Le gouvernement groenlandais vient d’attribuer à Orano les permis pour conduire des travaux d’exploration de gisements d’uranium dans deux zones, situées au sud-est et sud-ouest du pays. Dans le cadre d’un programme de développement du territoire, les autorités groenlandaises ont décidé de permettre l’émergence de nouveaux projets d’exploration et l’exploitation des ressources minérales du pays. Government of Greenland awards two exploration permits to Orano
The Government of Greenland has recently awarded permits to Orano for it to conduct exploration works on uranium deposits in two zones, located in the south-east and the south-west of the country. Orano is co-developing an inflatable controlled atmosphere chamber to protect patients and caregivers
The Orano group, the start-up Air Captif and Cir Médical (equipment manufacturer for emergency responders) have developed in partnership, an inflatable controlled atmosphere chamber, designed to relieve hospital overloading in the context of health emergency due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Deployed in around 40 minutes, this device is an inflatable structure which houses a sealed chamber. The airtight chamber is equipped with a depressurized ventilation system developed by Orano, making it possible to guarantee static and dynamic containment and protect not only the patient but also the caregivers from the risks of contamination. Déployé en 40 minutes, ce dispositif se présente comme une structure gonflable abritant une chambre étanche.
