This year, KLEMM Bohrtechnik GmbH is celebrating two anniversaries: Over the past 25 years, the company has been the specialist within the BAUER Group for the development and manufacture of anchor drilling rigs and accessories. And what’s more, the company’s history goes back exactly 60 years. How it all started In order to carry out drilling and blasting work to extract stone material for dam construction, Guenter Klemm founded KLEMM Bohrtechnik GmbH in 1963. Brennerstraße – Verkehrsentlastung in Sicht
Eine 8 km lange Umgehungsstraße Brixen–Vahrn soll in Zukunft die stark frequentierte Brennerstraße entlasten und den Durchgangsverkehr in den Orten reduzieren. Aktuell wird der letzte 1,5 km lange Teilabschnitt zwischen der Anschlussstelle Brixen Nord und Vahrn erstellt. Zusätzlich zu dem Verkehr auf der Brennerautobahn fahren im Schnitt täglich 10.000 bis 15.000 Fahrzeuge über die Brennerstraße bei Vahrn. Durch die Umfahrung wird man diesen Durchzugsverkehr zum Großteil umleiten können und eine Verbesserung der Verkehrssituation und somit mehr Lebensqualität in der Region erreichen. Für die Sicherung der Stützwände am letzten Teilstück, der Umfahrung von Vahrn, ist ein KLEMM Ankerbohrgerät KR 801-3GK im Einsatz. Brenner Road – traffic relief in sight
An 8 km long Brixen-Vahrn bypass is being built to relieve the heavily frequented Brenner Road and to reduce through traffic in the villages. The final 1.5 km section of the bypass between the Brixen Nord junction and Vahrn is currently under construction. In addition to the Brenner Motorway traffic, an average of 10,000 to 15,000 vehicles use the Brenner road near Vahrn every day. The new bypass will divert most of this through traffic and the improved traffic situation will lead to a higher quality of life in the region. So liegen beispielsweise Bereiche der Essener Innenstadt heute etwa 30 m tiefer als noch vor Beginn des intensiven Abbaus von Kohle. Intensive mining and the Second World War have left clear traces throughout the Ruhr Region. Today, however, these are no longer visible in the vast majority of cases – rather, they are hidden underground. Reports of the discovery of unexploded ordnance and sinkholes are commonplace between the Rhine and Ruhr rivers, and the effects of large-scale subsidence are rarely recognizable at first sight. For example, areas of Essen’s city center are about 30 meters deeper today than they were before intensive coal mining began. Sylt: Drilling at the Beach
More than a hundred years ago, the seawall in Westerland on the island of Sylt was built to protect the town’s exposed houses against tidal waves from the sea. With masonry breaking off in places and damage to some of the joints, the 500 meter long beach front wall is currently being reinforced section by section. This is achieved by erecting 2.2 meter wide, 4.4 meter high, pre-cast, 13 ton, reinforced concrete elements, directly in front of the old seawall. Sylt – Strandfeeling mit KLEMM Bohrgerät
Vor über hundert Jahren wurde auf der Insel Sylt die Ufermauer in Westerland gebaut, um die exponierten Häuser der Stadt gegenüber Angriffen der See zu schützen. Weil das Mauerwerk stellenweise abbricht und es Schäden an den Fugen gibt, wird die insgesamt 500 m lange Strandmauer an der Uferpromenade zur Zeit abschnittsweise verstärkt. Dazu wird aus 2,2 Meter breiten, 4,4 Meter hohen und 13 Tonnen schweren Stahlbeton-Fertigteilen eine Uferwand unmittelbar vor die alte Ufermauer gesetzt. Die Wandelemente werden hierbei von je zwei Verpresspfählen gehalten, die sie wie riesige Dübel 18 Meter lang schräg unten im Boden verankern.
