Rheinmetall und Space Norway kooperieren bei maritimer Weltraumüberwachung
Die Rheinmetall AG und die Space Norway AS haben ein Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) unterzeichnet, um ihre Zusammenarbeit im Bereich weltraumgestützter Fähigkeiten für Verteidigungsanwendungen weiter auszubauen. Im Fokus der Kooperation steht insbesondere die maritime Lagebilderstellung (Maritime Domain Awareness). Die Vereinbarung baut auf dem bereits bestehenden Austausch der beiden Unternehmen auf und schafft einen Rahmen zur Bewertung gemeinsamer Potenziale. Konkret geht es um die Bereiche Satellitenkommunikation, Sensoren und Missionssysteme sowie deren Integration in übergeordnete Führungs- und Informationssysteme. Ziel der Zusammenarbeit ist die Entwicklung zukünftiger Fähigkeiten für Kunden in Deutschland sowie perspektivisch in weiteren verbündeten Staaten. Rheinmetall is delivering artillery ammunition to Ukraine from Unterlüß for the first time. Until now, deliveries had come from other sites within the Rheinmetall production network. This first delivery from Unterlüß to Ukraine comprises a low five-figure number of projectiles, in addition to propellant charges from other sites. More than half of the order has already been delivered. The remaining projectiles and propellant charges are due to follow by the end of 2026. For the first time, projectiles from the new ‘Werk Niedersachsen’ (Lower-Saxony plant) are being delivered to the Ukrainian armed forces. – Rheinmetall liefert erstmals 155mm-Artilleriemunition aus Unterlüß an die Ukraine – Niedrige fünfstellige Anzahl an Geschossen; bereits über die Hälfte ausgeliefert, Auftrag soll noch 2026 abgeschlossen sein – Rheinmetall ist führender Hersteller im Bereich der Artilleriesysteme Rheinmetall liefert erstmals Artilleriemunition aus Unterlüß an die Ukraine. Bisher kamen die Lieferungen aus anderen Standorten des Rheinmetall-Produktionsnetzwerks. Die erstmalige Lieferung aus Unterlüß an die Ukraine umfasst Geschosse in einer niedrigen fünfstelligen Anzahl, dazu kommen noch Treibladungen aus anderen Standorten. Rheinmetall übernimmt InterRoC VII – Neue Impulse für autonome militärische Konvois
Die Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles GmbH hat im Auftrag des Bundesamtes für Ausrüstung, Informationstechnik und Nutzung der Bundeswehr (BAAINBw) die Gesamtverantwortung für das Forschungsprojekt InterRoC VII (Interoperable Robotic Convoy VII) übernommen. Mit dem Vorhaben baut Rheinmetall seine führende Rolle bei der Entwicklung hochautomatisierter militärischer Logistiksysteme weiter aus und setzt einen weiteren Meilenstein auf dem Weg zur Digitalisierung militärischer Mobilität.
